Ipswich Crematorium

Ipswich Crematorium has been in operation since early 2014 and is conveniently located within the grounds of Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery at Willowbank. Our facility is easily accessible from the 12 Anderson Day Drive, Willowbank QLD 4306. Our spacious ‘Warrill Chapel’ and ‘Blue Wren Tea-Room’ opened in May 2016. Both boast modern architecture with calming bush views.

Warrill Chapel

Our Warrill Chapel can comfortably seat 250 people on modern timber pews and can be booked with either a burial, cremation or on a ‘Hire Only basis’. Two large video screens are mounted inside the chapel for video presentations during services. Two smaller screens and external speakers are located outside to cater for larger services.

A small viewing room is located within the chapel where families can farewell their loved one privately prior to a service. The viewing room is equipped with a speaker to enable subtle background music.

Blue Wren Tea Room

Our generous sized Blue Wren Tea-Room is located adjacent to Warrill Chapel and includes a full size kitchen where our professional caterer undertakes all food preparation. The Blue Wren Tea-Room is available for bookings by families who wish to utilize one of our catering packages after a service. We currently offer two catering packages.

Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery

The large open landscaped lawns at Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery feature peaceful memorial gardens and columbarium walls. Ashes interments are available in any of the memorial gardens, scatter garden or columbarium walls as well as in a grave (new or existing). New memorial options are constantly being developed. Our traditional rose and shrub gardens are a very popular choice.

There are currently thirteen rose gardens and eleven standard shrub gardens situated throughout the cemetery. We also offer a variety of premium memorial gardens, which include our Bamboo Memorial Walk, Melaleuca Memorial Walk, Jasmine Way, Shady Fig Memorial Circle and Granite Pillar Garden.

BURIAL PLOT OPTIONS

At Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery, we understand that choosing a final resting place for your loved one is a deeply personal and significant decision. To support families during this time, we currently offer two types of burial plots, both of which include complimentary use of our Warrill Chapel for an hour.

**Standard Lawn Beam Plots**

Our standard burial plots are located in the serene lawn beam areas at the rear of the cemetery. If you wish to be close to an existing grave of a family member, we invite you to make an appointment with our compassionate staff to help you select a plot from those available. Alternatively, if you do not have family members buried here, you have the opportunity to choose a plot from within two rows of the ongoing burials—ensuring you can still feel connected.  Alternatively, our Operations Supervisor can select a plot on your behalf.

For memorialisation, we provide a variety of options with plaques affixed to a sloping desk made of solid concrete or granite. Our friendly team is ready to assist you in custom-designing a memorial that reflects the essence of your loved one, ensuring their memory is honoured beautifully.

**Basic Lawn Plots**

We also offer a basic burial option in the peaceful lawn area of Section 3, Block 6, Rows 14 – 22.  Families are not able to pre-select their burial plots in this area.  All plots will be allocated by our Operations Supervisor.

For memorial plaques in the basic lawn area, we feature a choice of two cast bronze options that will be affixed to a flat concrete base seamlessly embedded in the lawn. Please note that these memorial plaques must be purchased through Ipswich Cemeteries, and we offer two thoughtful designs for either double or single inscriptions.

If you have any questions or need assistance regarding these options, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office at 07-5464 3145. We are here to support you in making the best choices for your loved one and your family during this difficult time.
